Update from Philadelphia

Hello all -

I believe this may be my first update. Better late than never? I'm in my second full week interning at Pig Iron Theatre Company in the Fishtown section of the City of Brotherly Love (which is terrific because our offices are situated less than a 20 minute walk from where my friends live). Currently, I'm doing administrative duties with the Production Management team before I transition to my Assistant Stage Manager duties when rehearsals for Twelfth Night begin in late July. The company itself just moved into a new building, which itself was built in 1891 as a Parochial School. The building is currently being renovated into the Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Training (which launches very soon, and is another project I've been working on) as well as various studio spaces available for rent to artists. It is very exciting to be a part of a company that is making such huge growth in a short period of time. I will post when tickets for Twelfth Night at the Philadelphia Theatre Company become available.

In other news, my father and I are still living in about 1/4 of our house, since they've completely gutted most of the mold-infested rooms (which includes all three bedrooms). The house is on the path to being re-built, so my mother and Kelly should be able to move back in soon! My dad and I are sleeping on air mattresses in the family room, but thankfully we have access to one of the bathrooms, the laundry room, kitchen and dining room.
