Autumn has arrived

Well, it turned out to be a smaller group at the Lake this year for Columbus Day, and although we missed everyone who couldn't join us, we were able to force ourselves to have a most enjoyable time. The weather was beautiful, cool and sometimes even quite crisp. The Albany O'Keeffe's were able to make it up in time for the Halloween parade and for trick-or-treating. Next year I am definitely putting together my little bags like I normally do. After hearing one kid say "I don't like pretzels" and another saying something else....I will go back to my old ways. (P.S. they got a bag of pretzels AND a bag of potato chips.) I got a real kick out of Danny who after t/t a little bit, wanted to come in the house, eat his Doritos and potato chips and was happy as a little clam; in his Thomas the Train costume. He looked adorable and John was a scary skeleton (but looked just as adorable).

My first boat ride on the luxurious party boat was quite a highlight for me. I was really impressed on how smooth and quiet the ride was. You could ACTUALLY TALK without yelling WHAT, WHAT....I am glad Mom is able to enjoy boating now. When we returned to the dock, Michael, Maura, Patti, Halle and I sat on the boat enjoying a cocktail, homemade guacamole, homemade spiced cashews and watched the sunset. Beautiful colors and it wasn't too cold. Tom joined us after he finished putting the new cover on the sailboat. Mary was out kayaking and Mom dashed off in her golf cart to visit the Frederick girls.

My final note is on the video of the new little chicks. Eggstraordinary film coverage. My, you must be taking eggcellent care of those furry creatures since they really have grown in over a week. I was trying to figure out who Bossie is. Any other names? Keep us posted.
