Greetings from Seattle. Holly took me to the airport at 5:30 yesterday morning and I was here before 11:00AM local time. After a lunch of hyperlocal deviled eggs (from the back yard) we embarked on a journey to the hens' ultimate destination:
The Woodland Park Zoo. The lions were lethargic, but the hephalumps seemed happy.
And the hippos were hungry.
And the showoffs. There are four peacocks at the zoo, each of them named Fred
On the way home, a visit with the Fremont Bridge Troll
And watching Andrew gather more eggs.
After supper Kathleen went off to orchestra rehearsal, and Jaime disappeared to retrieve the boys from their various activities. While I was alone in the house, a neighbor called and tried to hire me to babysit on Saturday morning. This is a strange place.
