We all had a lovely time with Michael! We're so proud of him! And we're also very thankful for Tom and Nia letting us stay at the house and for MaryEllen's and Ashleen's hospitality. I haven't seen Ashleen since she was little so it was really nice talking to her. Before we went to Quantico, Mom, Dad, and I had a few lovely days in Alexandria and D.C. We went to the World War 2 Memorial, the American History Museum, and the Halocaust Museum. We also saw the White House which was really cool and I wish we could have gotten a tour and we took many pictures of the Washington Memorial and the Capitol. Alexandria was a charming, quaint town and we really had a great vacation. Friday was Family Day at Quantico and we saw the Marine Museum with Michael, met his instructors, and had a lovely lunch on base. Then Saturday was the graduation parade which was lovely. Michael's platoon voted for him to be the first on their line since we was the oldest. So we got a good look at him! And we're again so so proud of him and glad he's now reunited with Maura! Maura was great through this whole thing really supporting him- she's the best. And now I wish them an amazing trip away together in California---Safe Trip!
