Christmas Fun

OK, so this is my first post to the blog. Let's hope this goes well! So Michael and I had a fun-filled, festive weekend. I took a vacation day on Friday and we headed into Manhattan for lunch. We took in the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, and St. Patrick's Cathedral (which always manages to astound me every time I see it). On Saturday, we put up on own Christmas tree and Michael taught me all of the O'Keeffe tree decorating traditions. I never had eggnog before and I think I'm going to opt for Jimmy's tradition next year and go for the chocolate milk!!! We realized after the tree was up that we didn't have an angel, so I crafted one from an old paper towel roll, some socks and scraps from the bottom of the tree. She doesn't sound too pretty, but she actually looks very sweet on top of our tree (hmmm, maybe a new tradition?!) Tonight I'm going to bake some christmas cookies, and I think that will about do it for the holiday festivities this weekend.

Patti, your new place looks great! Can't wait to see it! Good luck at work! Hope your first day goes well. See you all on Christmas Eve!
