Thanks for the fun responses to the newest members of our household! So far it's been eggstremely fun. The rest of today, though, not so much. Will was at a Mariners Game (their 101st loss for the season), Jaime, Andrew and I were in the back yard working on the coop, and apparently we had left the front door unlocked. When we went inside an hour later, both of our handbags were gone, as well as Will's backpack. We lost all our credit cards, car and house keys (1 set), eyeglasses, and who knows what else. By the time we cancelled the credit cards, the perps had racked up over $300 on them. Locksmith came and changed all the house locks. We walked around the neighborhood looking for our discarded bags, but nothing turned up. Now we have to park our cars a few blocks away so the perps don't get our cars too.
It could have been worse, but it was bad enough. I hope we never make that particular stupid mistake again. Leave it to Andrew to look on the bright side: at least they didn't steal the chickens.
