OK, I'm going to have to be careful not to overwhelm the blog with chicken news. I feel like a new parent! The chicks will stay inside for a month or two - right now they are in our TV room but we're told they start to stink in a week or so and even the most die-hard chicken freaks put them out in the garage pretty soon. We're still working on coop details, so we'll spare you all from the coop pictures for a couple more weeks.In the meantime, here are our little feathered friends eating. The only name we've pinned down solidly is Bossie (with the stripe down her head), who was being mean and pecking all the other chick's eyes. We had to give her a time out (really!) for a day, and that realigned the pecking order. Fascinating!
