That soup sounds great! Would one of you mind posting the recipe here?
Grandma, your very belated Christmas gift was put in the mail on Tuesday. I hope you get it today or tomorrow. How are you feeling?
I'm working tonight, but Andy has the day off, so we plan on shopping for a double stroller and then I get to take a nap before work. That's the best gift I can ask for!
The link below leads to the blog with more contributions from my colleague, Nelson. You can find it on the Children's homepage, too. He details the last seven days as a volunteer in Haiti. There are other links as well. The medical director of Partners in Health describes an emergent newborn surgery that required blood, but a blood bank had not been set up yet. One surgeon with O neg blood withdrew 60 mL of his own blood into a syringe to transfuse. They were able to perform surgery and save the baby's life. How amazing is that!
I can just see Uncle Mike boasting about his platelets. "Anyone need platelets?? I have excellent platelets, here."
