Happy springtime to everyone.
Nice to check into the family site and listen to a beautiful piece played by you, Andrew. Thank you. It was lovely.

The Irish War for Independence, in & around Glenough
Hi everybody!
Thanks to Kathleen, Kathy & Jaime for keeping the blog alive through the winter. A few days ago, Mike received a fascinating document from Paddy O'Keeffe. It's a history of the for independence and it mentions Con and I think some other O'Keeffes in several places. If I did the uploading correctly, you can find it here.

So K told you the coat was for Will?
She's good at tricking folks. By the way, she loves the coat that so many of you contributed to. Warm, hip, colorful.
Now if we could just get her to let Will wear it once in a while....

Irish Cousins Become TV Stars
Siobhan and Cathal were on the Irish equivalent of one of those Home & Garden shows, called Room to Grow. I couldn't find the video, but here's a Tipperary newspaper story I stumbled qcross while googling postal addresses. Here's a trailer for the series. Cathal appears briefly.
Merry Christmas!
For those of you who couldn't be at our Christmas concert, somebody videotaped the whole thing. I'm in the second to last row all the way on the right.

How Real Men Bake Pies
Andrew was given a jackolantern pumpkin by his grandparents, with a challenge to make a pie out of it. While pumpkin pie is usually made out of smaller, sweet pie pumpkins, Andrew found a recipe and decided to go for it. He is adjusting his methods these days, apparently, including broadening out his set of available cooking tools.
We're hoping for a good pie out of this, we'll let you know!

Need help with portion control?
I get all the help I need from my loving family. There is no danger of eating too much ice cream when this is the portion left in the container. Aren't I lucky?
A little comic relief for all you east coasters whose ice cream is probably melting away at this very moment.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's
Hello Family...this is John.
On October 20, Mom and I are doing the Walk to End Alzheimer's again this year. It is at Siena College this time. Seaver might come too. We are trying to raise money to help families who have someone with Alzheimer's that they love. If you would like to donate to my effort, please go to this link. Thanks for your support!
